Community Support
Maroochy RSL has maintained its generous support of the local community with more than 60 different clubs and organisations benefiting from Maroochy RSL sponsorships and donations. Maroochy RSL is committed to playing an integral part of the community by supporting local organisations and grass roots groups through financial or in-kind contributions via sponsorships or donations.
Maroochy RSL contributes cash and in-kind donations to Maroochydore and Sunshine Coast community groups to ensure their local community support could continue. We look forward to continue helping Sunshine Coast clubs maintain their facilities, raise funds for charities and provide sponsorship for various sporting clubs. Apart from seeing happy members and visitors at the club, it is one of the most rewarding facets of being central to the Sunshine Coast community.
The magnitude of Maroochy RSL’s support often went unseen as so many staff and members gave time to coordinate activities and assist others within the community, on top of the club’s considerable financial support to a wide range of needs.
Maroochy RSL has helped a number of community clubs to maintain their facilities, raised funds for charities and provided sponsorship for various organisations and charities to ensure their future. It is one of the most rewarding facets of the RSL’s central role in the greater Sunshine Coast community.
Just some of the organisations that Maroochy RSL assisted in 2012 include:
• Sunshine Coast Sports Federation
• Alexandra Headland Probus Club
• Cystic Fibrosis QLD

responsible gaming
For some people gambling can change from entertainment and pleasure and become an issue. When that happens, gambling can play too big a role in a person's life and hurt them, their family, friends and the people who care for them.
If your gambling is causing issues in your life, you can take steps to change this. Talking about gambling with somebody you trust can reduce the stress that can cause you to continue to gamble. If you have an issue with gambling there is free, confidential professional help and support available.
The following organisations offer confidential, free counselling services:
